THCI Membership (Continued)
You May Qualify if
- you are a graduate of a recognised college / RTO / in Australia or across the globe
- you are a Service, or ex-Service personnel (all service qualifications, schools and courses are recognised by the Institute)
- you are involved in allied fields, such as Food Marketing or Consulting and hold a managerial position
- you are a Student enrolled in a prescribed program of tourism or hospitality. An upgrade upon satisfactorily completing your studies. This grading is also open to young people undertaking apprenticeships in the catering industry.
- you are a tradesperson within the industry, and have completed a recognised apprenticeship. (Elevation to higher grades as your experience as a supervisor or manager increases).
If
you are a secondary school student interested in the Tourism and Hospitality
Industry, you should contact your nearest Division of the Institute, whose
members will be pleased to help you select an appropriate course of study,
will put you in touch with the appropriate colleges or schools and will
welcome you as a student member when you commence your studies.
Finally, any member of the industry who doubts their status for qualification
is invited to contact their Division for guidance.
